Jennifer Miller-Arsenault

The Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment provides overall leadership and support for the development of curriculum, instruction and assessment practices in Washington Central Unified Union School District for students PreK-Graduation in all content areas.  These processes are ongoing.  Many factors contribute to the need for curriculum, instruction and assessment development to be considered ongoing processes, including changes in state and federal guidelines.  In addition, the world and our knowledge in every academic discipline are changing rapidly.  Our curricula need to prepare students for the challenges of a changing world and provide content that reflects new knowledge.  We also want our instruction to be responsive to new understandings about how students learn.  Finally, and most importantly, we want our curricula to reflect the community’s values regarding learning outcomes for students.

Jennifer Miller-Arsenault has been WCUUSD’s Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment since July 2012.  Prior to that, she served as WCUUSD’s Early Education Coordinator, an instructor of educational leadership for Southern New Hampshire University, an elementary principal and an elementary school teacher in Grades 1-3.

Jen received her B.A. in Psychology and Spanish from Wellesley College and her Ed.M. in Educational Leadership from Harvard University.

For fun, Jen and her family enjoy running, skiing, reading and traveling.
